Principal Manufacturing Product Engineer (Photonics)

Location: hirify.global Thailand, Navanakorn – Pathum Thani; work is performed in the office, engineering laboratory, cleanroom, and manufacturing-floor environments.

What you will do

• Own product definition, technical performance, manufacturing readiness, and lifecycle execution for assigned cloud products.
• Lead product industrialization, NPI, product transfers, qualification, production ramp-up, and sustaining engineering.
• Drive DfX reviews covering manufacturability, assembly, test, reliability, and cost.
• Improve product yield, performance, quality, reliability, and manufacturing cost through data-driven engineering actions.
• Lead root-cause investigations and corrective actions for complex manufacturing and field-quality issues.
• Coordinate technical decisions and execution across Manufacturing, R&D, Process Engineering, Quality, NPI, Supply Chain, and global engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Optical, Manufacturing Engineering, Physics, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 12 years of experience in product engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related technical role.
• Extensive experience with NPI, product transfer, volume ramp, and sustaining engineering.
• Strong understanding of product lifecycle management, configuration control, DfX, qualification, and engineering-change management.
• Experience in optical, photonic, semiconductor, electronics, or other high-technology manufacturing is strongly preferred.
• Effective English communication is required for collaboration with global teams.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a relevant engineering or scientific field.
• Experience with product ownership, strategic and systems thinking, risk-based decision-making, and coaching engineers.
