Senior Revenue Accounting Manager (AI)

Location: Hybrid role based in the San Francisco Bay Area, USA; three full days per week in the San Francisco office, with the remaining days remote. Availability during agreed working hours and sufficient overlap with the relevant team time zone are expected.

What you will do

• Own the monthly revenue close for consumption- and credit-based revenue, including credit grants, consumption, breakage, unused balances, refunds, and chargebacks.
• Maintain revenue recognition policies under ASC 606 and assess complex commercial arrangements, performance obligations, variable consideration, material rights, and principal-versus-agent conclusions.
• Lead the full order-to-cash lifecycle across billing, invoicing, cash application, collections, disputes, accounts receivable, and revenue reporting.
• Manage usage-based billing, post-paid overages, true-ups, AR aging, reserves, write-offs, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Build scalable revenue automation and reconciliation processes using HubiFi and Stripe, partnering with Engineering and Data on transaction and usage data quality.
• Serve as the primary Finance contact for external auditors and prepare walkthroughs, reconciliations, process narratives, and other audit support.

Requirements

• 6+ years of accounting experience with substantial revenue accounting experience.
• Strong practical knowledge of ASC 606 and complex revenue judgment areas.
• Hands-on ownership of revenue accounting in a high-volume usage-based, consumption-based, credit-based, or scaled subscription environment.
• Experience owning order-to-cash processes, billing, and accounts receivable.
• Experience reconciling payment-platform transactions, fees, settlements, payouts, and cash; Stripe experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience with revenue automation or subscription billing systems such as HubiFi, Zuora, NetSuite ARM, RevPro, Maxio, or similar, plus advanced Excel skills.

Nice to have

• CPA or experience at a Big 4 or national accounting firm.
• Experience supporting an IPO, audit-readiness process, or similarly scaled financial environment.
• NetSuite experience and exposure to multi-entity, multi-currency, or intercompany revenue flows.
• Experience building accounting processes from the ground up in a startup or high-growth environment.
• SQL experience.
