Senior Revenue Accountant

Salary: $160,000–$180,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Support the monthly revenue close, including journal entries, reconciliations, schedules, and rollforwards.
• Review customer contracts under ASC 606 and document revenue recognition conclusions.
• Evaluate usage-based pricing, committed spend, minimum commitments, credits, discounts, modifications, renewals, and other non-standard terms.
• Reconcile revenue, accounts receivable, deferred revenue, unbilled receivables, customer credits, billing, usage, contracts, and general ledger data.
• Partner with Sales, Legal, Deal Desk, Billing, Revenue Operations, Finance, and Systems on new products, pricing models, SKUs, and accounting requirements.
• Improve revenue accounting automation, data integrations, internal controls, policies, audit support, and technical accounting documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, including substantial revenue recognition experience.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and experience evaluating customer contracts and revenue arrangements.
• Experience working with large datasets and reconciling data across multiple systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with evolving products, systems, and processes.

Nice to have

• CPA certification.
• Experience with SaaS, cloud infrastructure, AI, technology, or usage-based business models.
• Experience with NetSuite or another major ERP system.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills; SQL or data warehouse experience.
