Senior Commercial Structural Steel Estimator (Structural Steel)

Location: WFH from Ortigas, Alabang, Pampanga, or Cebu, Philippines. Work schedule: 7:30 AM–4:30 PM MNL time, with AU CST alignment.

What you will do

• Review commercial project plans, structural drawings, specifications, site information, and contract documents.
• Measure and quantify structural steel and related materials, then calculate labor, equipment, rental, subcontractor, and other project costs.
• Prepare detailed bid proposals, incorporate subcontractor quotations, assess risks and contingencies, and update estimates when designs or scopes change.
• Raise and manage requests for information, attend site visits and pre-tender meetings, and communicate with clients about requirements, pricing, timelines, and bid status.
• Manage multiple tenders, follow up on submitted bids, provide market intelligence, and support handover to the project delivery team.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and estimators while supporting estimating accuracy, quality, safety, and compliance processes.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a commercial structural estimator and exposure to the building or construction industry.
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience, with the ability to read and interpret plans and working drawings.
• Experience with contract administration and strong competency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Working knowledge of Bluebeam or another measurement software.
• Fluent English, written and verbal, is required for communication with management, contractors, suppliers, and clients.
• Construction Industry White Card, strong attention to detail, commercial judgment, organization, teamwork, and the ability to work under pressure.
