Senior Mechanical Engineer 1 (System Validation)

What you will do

• Conduct risk and functional analyses for mechanical, electronic, software-integrated and automation systems.
• Create validation plans and test matrices covering functionality, robustness, recoverability, boundary conditions, misuse and customer integration scenarios.
• Plan, coordinate and monitor validation execution with R&D, design, software, project management, application, service, quality and external laboratory stakeholders.
• Track product maturity through test execution, anomaly closure, risk mitigation and validation evidence.
• Translate customer usage scenarios into validation cases, including PLC integration, communication loss, emergency stop, power loss, calibration interruption and recovery operations.
• Prepare validation reports and risk-closure evidence, standardize validation methods and improve procedures, tools and reference frameworks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in mechanical, electrical/electronic, automation, mechatronics, reliability engineering or a related field.
• Preferred experience of 5+ years in product validation, system testing, reliability engineering, functional safety, automation equipment or similar high-quality-requirement industries.
• Strong understanding of system validation, risk analysis, functional analysis, FMEA/FMECA and product maturity assessment.
• Ability to read mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and control drawings and understand PLC signal mapping and system-level interface logic.
• Strong root cause analysis, troubleshooting, technical reporting and evidence-based decision support skills.
• Good English communication skills at CET4 level or above; familiarity with ISO 12100, ISO 13849, Weibull analysis, test automation, data analysis or simulation is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with automation products, tightening or spindle applications, motion control, PLC integration, electronics or software-integrated systems.
• Experience building validation plans, leading test execution and coordinating cross-functional issue resolution.
• Knowledge of functional safety software, automated test scripts, digital simulation or reliability analysis tools.
