What you will do

  • Support the development of automatic machines for plants across North America, South America, India, and Europe.
  • Lead machine development with local suppliers and support setup, commissioning, and problem solving.
  • Lead automation upgrades for existing production lines and evaluate upgrade feasibility, especially for pilot lines.
  • Manage production-line automation projects for APAC plants and deliver automation KPIs.
  • Industrialize new automatic assembly projects and develop assembly processes including filling, swaging, rolling, and press fitting.
  • Investigate new technologies and assess their application feasibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or an equivalent qualification.
  • At least 8 years of experience in assembly process development, machine development, or non-standard machine design or manufacturing.
  • Fluent English listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills required.
  • Availability for frequent international or APAC business trips to support machine setup and commissioning.
  • Knowledge of complex tooling and machinery, preferably from the automotive industry.
  • Automation and software programming experience, plus knowledge of APQP, TS16949, or related tools, is preferred.

  • Automotive industry experience with complex tooling and machinery.

  • LEAN production knowledge or experience.
