Quality Technician (Manufacturing): Performing visual, dimensional, gage, laboratory, and final inspections in a wind turbine blade production facility with an accent on product quality, process compliance, and manufacturing standards. Focus on interpreting technical drawings, documenting inspection data, calibrating equipment, resolving quality concerns, and supporting continuous improvement.
Location: Fort Madison, Iowa, United States; onsite at a Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy blade production facility. Second shift: 2:10 p.m.–10:40 p.m., five days per week, with potential Saturday overtime.

What you will do
- Perform visual, dimensional, gage, laboratory, process control, and final inspections of materials, components, and finished products.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, sketches, specifications, and quality requirements to assess product conformance.
- Document, organize, and analyze inspection results, test data, quality reports, and acceptance decisions.
- Set up, operate, maintain, and calibrate inspection, testing, and laboratory equipment.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, operations, vendors, and quality teams to resolve defects and improve manufacturing processes.
- Support material qualification, technical guidance, inspector training, workplace safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent, plus successful completion of a General Aptitude Test.
- Visual Inspection certification or the ability to obtain certification.
- Ability to read technical drawings and work with the metric measurement system.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, inspection equipment, SAP, quality management systems, and Microsoft Office 365.
- Ability to accurately collect and maintain quality data and inspection records.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work extended periods standing, sitting, bending, or kneeling; willingness to work overtime, including shifts of up to 12 hours.
Nice to have
- Experience in quality assurance within manufacturing, composites, renewable energy, or industrial production.
- Experience mentoring or providing technical guidance to colleagues and junior inspectors.
