Radar Algorithm Engineer (Defense)

What you will do

• Develop air-to-air radar algorithms from concept through production-ready implementation.
• Design, implement, and validate radar mode logic in Python or Rust for contested electronic warfare environments.
• Create and execute verification and validation plans across simulation, chamber testing, captive flight, and live-fire scenarios.
• Integrate algorithms into hardware systems, including calibration and test activities.
• Work within a disciplined software engineering environment using version control, code reviews, CI/CD, and testing frameworks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical field.
• Direct experience with air-to-air radar systems and associated algorithms.
• Strong knowledge of signal processing, detection, tracking, and radar modes.
• Production-quality programming experience with Python and/or Rust.
• Experience with Git, code reviews, testing, and issue-tracking tools such as Jira.
• Access to classified or export-controlled information may require U.S. Government authorization, security clearance, or other eligibility requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience in electronic warfare or contested RF environments.
• Experience taking algorithms from concept through hardware deployment.
• Familiarity with radar calibration, integration, and testing across multiple environments.
• Experience building scalable software architectures for real-time systems.
