Sr Analyst, Data Science and Analytics (AI)

Location: Remote, based in Lagunilla de Heredia, with occasional in-person attendance at work-related events as required by management.

What you will do

• Own analytics and data science workstreams from problem definition through delivery.
• Translate business requirements into analytical approaches, machine learning models, dashboards, and actionable insights.
• Build, validate, maintain, and document scalable, reproducible analytical solutions.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, business stakeholders, and technical and non-technical audiences.
• Present findings and recommendations through reports, presentations, dashboards, and documentation.
• Identify automation opportunities, manage priorities across assignments, track delivery in Jira, and mentor junior team members and interns.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Physics, or another quantitative field.
• Two to four years of professional experience in data science, analytics, or a closely related field.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis and machine learning fundamentals applied to business problems.
• Advanced proficiency in Python, SQL, and BigQuery.
• Experience with modern machine learning ecosystems, analytics libraries, and cloud-based AI and data platforms.
• Ability to communicate analytical findings clearly, manage priorities, and deliver high-quality solutions with moderate autonomy.

Nice to have

• Experience working in an Agile environment and using Jira or similar tools.
• Experience mentoring junior team members or interns.
