Risk Analyst Junior/Junior+ (Fintech)

Location: Risk Analyst openings in Mexico and Colombia; hybrid work or full-time work from company offices. Relocation support is available to Colombia and Mexico for employees and their families.

What you will do

• Analyze credit funnels, portfolio performance, collection processes, and key risk indicators to identify trends, risks, friction points, and opportunities.
• Develop and maintain analytical datasets, reports, dashboards, and BI solutions for risk and business decision-making.
• Help design and optimize credit decision and collection strategies, evaluating effects on approvals, portfolio quality, recovery, and customer behavior.
• Analyze profitability, NPV, and unit economics of credit products and identify the parameters driving performance.
• Prototype, evaluate, and monitor analytical and machine learning models, including hypothesis testing and model performance assessment.
• Collaborate with Risk, Product, Data, Data Engineering, and business teams to turn analysis into decisions, tests, and new processes.

Requirements

• Degree in mathematics, physics, engineering, economics, computer science, or another quantitative field.
• Strong SQL and Python skills.
• Good mathematical intuition and understanding of probability and statistics.
• Ability to solve unfamiliar, non-trivial problems and develop logical, data-driven solutions.
• Analytical mindset, attention to detail, curiosity, willingness to learn, and ability to explain conclusions clearly.
• English at B1 level or higher is required for communication with the international team.

Nice to have

• Up to two years of experience in analytics or risk analytics.
• Knowledge of data analysis libraries and machine learning tools.
• Understanding of machine learning concepts and approaches.
• Experience with BI tools such as Tableau or Superset.
