Associate Data Scientist/Data Scientist (AI)

Location: Hybrid role based at one of three U.S. locations: Vienna, Virginia; Pensacola, Florida; or Winchester, Virginia. Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Salary: Associate Data Scientist — $70,000–$118,050 annually; Data Scientist — $80,400–$135,600 annually.

What you will do

• Analyze member digital behavior, product adoption, engagement, and customer experience using Python and SQL.
• Conduct exploratory analysis across app reviews, surveys, contact center data, social media, and other digital feedback sources.
• Build and deploy analytical solutions that generate actionable business insights for product, technology, and business stakeholders.
• Assist with predictive and machine learning models, including NLP and sentiment analysis solutions.
• Support AI-powered summarization and classification workflows using large language models.
• Develop agent-building solutions for workflow automation and communicate findings through reports, presentations, dashboards, and data storytelling.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• 1–4 years of experience in data science, business intelligence, analytics, or statistical analysis project work.
• Programming and database experience with Python, SQL, and R.
• Knowledge of machine learning methods such as classification, logistic regression, clustering, random forest, XGBoost, recommendation systems, NLP, sentiment modeling, regression, and time-series models.
• Experience with AI tools or frameworks such as Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, Azure AI Foundry, LangChain, Semantic Kernel, or Azure AI Services.
• Experience with cloud analytical environments such as Azure, Databricks, AWS, or GCP, plus strong communication and storytelling skills.

• Master’s degree in a related quantitative field.
• Strong Python and SQL skills.
