Data Science & Analytics Intern

Location: Middletown, Pennsylvania, United States; hybrid schedule with regular onsite work and commuting to the Middletown office required

What you will do

• Meet with Product Management, Operations, Manufacturing, Sales, and AEP stakeholders to understand business challenges and decision-making needs.
• Analyze customer, product, pricing, operations, supply chain, and financial data to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
• Translate ambiguous business questions into structured analytical approaches and business cases.
• Build predictive models, Power BI dashboards, and self-service reporting tools.
• Perform data mining, statistical analysis, cleansing, transformation, and AI-assisted analytics and automation.
• Present findings, risks, and recommendations to leadership and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or Business Analytics.
• Advanced Excel skills, including Power Query, Pivot Tables, and data modeling.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, MicroStrategy, or a similar business intelligence platform.
• Strong SQL and database fundamentals.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business problems into analytical solutions.
• Comfort presenting insights and recommendations to business stakeholders; regular attendance and onsite commuting are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python, R, or another analytical programming language.
• Experience using AI productivity and analysis tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude.
• Intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn products, markets, and operational processes quickly.
