Inventory and Cost Accounting Manager (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Lead inventory accounting for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods, including sub-ledgers, procedures, and reporting.
• Perform monthly and year-end inventory reconciliations in NetSuite and Manufacturo, investigate variances, and manage inventory month-end close activities.
• Maintain standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead and lead standard-versus-actual cost variance analysis.
• Validate bills of materials and routings and coordinate updates with production, engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing stakeholders.
• Support physical inventory counts, cycle count reviews, inventory valuation assessments, E&O reserves, and external audits.
• Prepare manufacturing cost and margin analysis to support pricing decisions and recommend corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least five years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Required proficiency in NetSuite Inventory Management or a comparable ERP.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, including ASC 330, standard costing, inventory reconciliation, cycle counting, and variance analysis.
• Experience with routing, BOM validation, audits, and collaboration across supply chain, manufacturing, and engineering.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookups, with strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

• CPA certification.
• Experience in early-stage, vertically integrated manufacturing environments.
