Cost Accountant (Manufacturing)

Location: Denton, Texas, USA; onsite work involving manufacturing and plant locations

What you will do

• Analyze manufacturing costs, cost variances, and inventory valuation.
• Prepare and maintain standard cost models and cost roll-ups.
• Partner with operations and supply chain teams to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities related to cost accounting.
• Perform margin analysis and provide insights for pricing and profitability decisions.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and ERP system improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of cost accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of standard costing, inventory management, and variance analysis.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• CPA or CMA certification.
