Facilities Manager (Defense)

Location: Rio Rancho, New Mexico, United States; onsite at a 1,000-acre facility

hirify.global develops and delivers advanced defense systems and is building a new large-scale industrial site in New Mexico.

What you will do

• Own facilities operations, strategy, execution, and performance across the 1,000-acre site.
• Establish SOPs, maintenance systems, prioritization frameworks, and operational processes from the ground up.
• Oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, security, fire protection, and industrial infrastructure.
• Support installation, commissioning, and ramp-up of manufacturing equipment and production spaces.
• Manage work orders, vendors, contractors, maintenance assets, critical spares, and site development activities.
• Partner with EHS, security, engineering, and operations on compliance, emergency response, reliability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; an associate or bachelor's degree is preferred.
• At least 7 years of experience in facilities, site operations, or industrial/manufacturing environments with increasing responsibility.
• Experience with large, complex, or multi-building sites and with building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety.
• Ability to build SOPs, maintenance programs, and operational processes in ambiguous, high-reliability environments.
• Experience managing vendors, contractors, and cross-functional stakeholders, with strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Employment may require access to classified information or restricted U.S. Government sites, including applicable security clearance, citizenship, authorization, and export-control eligibility requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience launching greenfield facilities, major expansions, or infrastructure and capital projects.
• Background in manufacturing, CNC machining, or high-mix, low-volume production.
• Familiarity with CMMS, asset tracking, reliability programs, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, or other regulated industrial environments.
• Budget ownership and cost-control experience.
