Production Planner (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Create production schedules and distribute production orders, value-add activities, and shipment schedules.
• Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials across production and logistics departments.
• Revise schedules for design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, capacity constraints, and other interruptions.
• Track production progress, calculate production rates and build times, and communicate status updates and material receipt dates.
• Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Project Management to resolve delays and material issues.
• Record production data and prepare required documentation and meetings.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED with 3+ years of material planning experience using an MRP/ERP system in manufacturing, or a relevant bachelor's degree with internship or co-op experience.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems, preferably SAP, in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
• Strong understanding of MRP concepts, including BOMs, routings, safety stock, master data, and backflushing.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, raw materials, inventory management, and quality control principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, decision-making, coordination, and collaboration skills.
