TL;DR
Production Planner/Scheduler (Manufacturing): Developing and coordinating production schedules for fabrication, assembly, and shipping operations with an accent on material availability, manufacturing capacity, and ERP-based planning. Focus on identifying bottlenecks, adjusting schedules for expedited orders and supply delays, and improving throughput through lean manufacturing practices.

Location: 100% in-office in Fremont, California, United States; remote work is not offered.

Base salary: $85,000–$110,000 per year.

What you will do

  • Develop and maintain production schedules based on order priorities, material readiness, and work-center capacity.
  • Coordinate schedules across production, fabrication, engineering, supply chain, materials, assembly, shipping, and customer service.
  • Review customer orders, validate ship dates, and adjust schedules for expedited orders, delays, material shortages, and design changes.
  • Use ERP/MRP tools, preferably INFOR, to plan, monitor, and report manufacturing activities.
  • Analyze resource and material availability to identify bottlenecks, constraints, and delivery risks.
  • Improve scheduling accuracy, reduce lead times, and support lean manufacturing practices such as Kanban, visual management, and standardized work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–7 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or operations coordination in manufacturing.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems; INFOR experience is preferred.
  • Strong Excel, data analysis, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and capacity planning.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
