Senior Specialist, Manufacturing Engineer (Rocket Motors)

What you will do

• Provide manufacturing engineering support for a rocket motor program.
• Lead two continuous improvement projects annually focused on quality, productivity, or cost savings.
• Update work instructions to improve clarity and readability.
• Collaborate with Quality Engineering on robust root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Manage complex projects and processes while contributing to departmental operating goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of relevant engineering experience, or a graduate degree and at least 4 years of related experience.
• In lieu of a degree, at least 10 years of related engineering experience.
• Ability to work a 4/10 schedule: 10-hour days, 4 days per week.
• Security clearance may be required; clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens.
• Applicants may be subject to government security investigations, background checks, drug testing, and E-Verify requirements.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects with strict deadlines.
• Experience with solid rocket motor manufacturing engineering.
• Knowledge of Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, Manufacturing Execution Systems, and GD&T.
