Senior Manufacturing Engineer (Machining)

Location: Onsite in New Port Richey, Florida, United States. Monday–Friday schedule with occasional weekend work to support production needs; travel may be required up to 10%.

What you will do

• Provide technical expertise for daily manufacturing operations, equipment, documentation, processes, and material flow.
• Lead Lean and hirify.global Business System initiatives, including Kaizens, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Research and implement advanced technology solutions to improve safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity.
• Collaborate with engineering, supervisors, purchasing, and continuous improvement teams to prioritize projects.
• Develop new processes, methods, production controls, and operating manuals for manufacturing equipment.
• Support customer and quality assurance issues affecting current products and production processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• At least three years of experience in a related role.
• Experience with Design for Manufacturability, Design for Assembly, statistical tolerance analysis, functional dimensioning, and tolerance analysis.
• Strong quality-process background, including FMEA, DOE, and failure analysis.
• Strong knowledge of complex manufacturing processes.
• U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization is required for access to export-controlled materials and technical data.

Nice to have

• High-volume manufacturing and problem-solving experience.
• Designing cutting tools and holding fixtures for CNC and manual mill and lathe operations using CAD.
• CNC or manual grinding experience and CNC programming for multi-axis mills and lathes.
• Knowledge of GD&T, aerospace mil-specifications, and complex machine drawings with section views.
