Analyst, Data Science and Analytics (AI) (Python/R, SQL): Developing reliable analytical outputs and scalable analytics processes to support data-driven business decisions with an accent on data preparation, statistical analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. Focus on applying analytical techniques to defined business problems, validating data quality, documenting findings, and communicating actionable insights.
Location: Remote, based in Lagunilla de Heredia, Costa Rica; occasional in-person attendance at work-related events may be required

What you will do
- Complete analytical assignments and deliver accurate, timely outputs for business decisions.
- Prepare, analyze, and validate data for data-driven initiatives.
- Apply statistical and analytical techniques to defined business problems.
- Support scalable and repeatable analytics processes while following coding, data-quality, and documentation standards.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and expected outcomes.
- Document methods and findings, provide progress updates, and communicate insights through presentations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- At least one year of professional experience in data analysis, data science, or a related role.
- Foundational to intermediate knowledge of data analysis, statistics, and analytical problem-solving.
- Foundational to intermediate programming knowledge in Python, R, or a similar language.
- Foundational to intermediate knowledge of SQL or comparable data-querying methods.
- Clear communication, collaboration, documentation, and time-management skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with Power BI or Tableau.
- Exposure to machine learning concepts, data science workflows, or analytics-driven decision-making.
- Familiarity with customer success or fraud prevention.
- Experience with Jira, presentations, documentation, or knowledge-sharing sessions.
