Transportation Data Analyst II (SQL/Python)

Location: Walmart Home Office, Bentonville, Arkansas, United States

Salary: $70,000–$130,000 annually, plus potential performance-based bonuses and stock compensation.

What you will do

• Analyze transportation and business data to identify trends, outliers, correlations, and actionable insights.
• Identify appropriate data sources and support the development of simple analytical models and business recommendations.
• Create graphical representations and data visualizations using suitable visualization frameworks and tools.
• Profile, assess, cleanse, and validate data quality under guidance.
• Support project activities, process improvements, and the resolution of business problems through analytical methods.
• Present findings to stakeholders and collaborate with business, UX, and UI partners when appropriate.

Requirements

• Must have completed a Summer 2026 Walmart or Sam's Club internship to be eligible.
• Immigration sponsorship is not available for this role.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Arts, Finance, or a related field, or two years of experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or a related field.
• Knowledge of data analysis, data quality management, exploratory data analysis, and statistical techniques.
• Ability to work with data sources, databases, distributed datastores, business requirements, and data-quality concepts.
• Analytical communication skills and the ability to present findings to business stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Data science, data analysis, statistics, or related industry experience.
• Master's degree in a related field.
• Experience with SQL, Python, Spark, Scala, R, Power BI, or Tableau.
• Experience in retail, merchandising, healthcare, or eCommerce.
• Successful completion of assessments in data analysis and business intelligence tools.
