Part-Time Substitute Teacher (Preschool and Daycare)

Location: Southport, North Carolina, United States, and surrounding areas in Brunswick County

Salary: $14–$18 per hour, up to $144 per day

What you will do

• Cover teacher absences caused by vacation, illness, or personal matters.
• Provide safe, nurturing, and engaging care for young children.
• Lead educational games, arts and crafts, music, meals, outdoor play, and other activities.
• Work with teachers under the guidance of the onsite program director.
• Communicate with families about children’s daily experiences and progress.
• Complete hirify.global training and onboarding.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have experience in childcare, teaching, or working with children ages 0–5.
• Be patient, dependable, and enthusiastic about supporting young children.
• Pass a state background check and complete a TB test and physical.
• Have a high school diploma or GED, CDA credential, EDU 119 Early Childhood Credential, ECE associate or bachelor’s degree, or at least one year of experience in a licensed childcare facility.
