Senior Maintenance Engineer (Semiconductor Equipment)

Location: Krubong, Melaka, Malaysia; onsite in a manufacturing environment

What you will do

• Lead maintenance technicians supporting production equipment and company objectives.
• Maintain and improve uptime, reliability, and availability of front-of-line semiconductor equipment, including die attach, wire bond, junction coat, cure ovens, and related automation.
• Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to minimize production downtime.
• Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs while improving OEE, MTBF, and MTTR.
• Support equipment installation, qualification, commissioning, technology transfers, modifications, automation, cost reduction, and reliability improvement projects.
• Manage spare parts, documentation, calibration, safety and quality compliance, and collaboration with Production, Process Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronic Engineering.
• 3–8 years of experience in semiconductor equipment maintenance, preferably in front-of-line processes.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, servo, and automation systems.
• Experience with die attach, wire bond, cure oven, junction coat, or similar semiconductor assembly equipment.
• Knowledge of TPM, preventive and predictive maintenance, FMEA, root cause analysis, OEE, MTBA, MTBF, MTTR, SPC, Lean, and Six Sigma.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and equipment documentation; willingness to support shifts or respond to equipment emergencies when required.
