Section Manager – Production (Manufacturing)

Location: Krubong, Melaka, Malaysia; manufacturing site

What you will do

• Lead daily production operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity targets.
• Optimize manpower, capacity, resources, work-in-progress, raw materials, and inventory accuracy.
• Lead, coach, and develop supervisors, technicians, and operators.
• Monitor production performance and KPIs, analyze data, and implement corrective actions.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, cost reduction, cycle time, yield improvement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with Planning, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams while supporting operational, customer, and certification audits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of manufacturing experience, including supervisory or managerial experience.
• Strong leadership, people management, communication, problem-solving, planning, and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of labor law, disciplinary procedures, and manufacturing work instructions.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, SPC, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement tools.
• Familiarity with IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 requirements; automotive, semiconductor, or electronics manufacturing experience is advantageous.
