Investment Manager - Structured Credit and Mortgages (Fintech)

What you will do

• Support the expansion and diversification of structured credit investment opportunities within the Institutional Retirement portfolio.
• Manage the structured credit portfolio, identify market risks, and develop risk metrics and appetites.
• Oversee asset manager performance and ensure portfolio activity follows agreed mandates and risk limits.
• Develop and enhance the structured credit and mortgage investment framework to improve risk-adjusted returns.
• Lead strategic transaction execution and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Investments and Asset Management teams while embedding Conduct Risk and Consumer Duty requirements.

Requirements

• Degree in a quantitative, finance, or management-related subject, or equivalent experience.
• Experience investing in or executing transactions across Fund Finance, Consumer, Residential, Data Centres, or SME asset classes.
• Knowledge of structuring, financial modelling, legal processes, and rating agency considerations for structured credit.
• Understanding of insurance balance sheets, portfolio construction, and relative value assessment.
• Buy-side or sell-side experience in relevant asset classes, ideally within an investment bank or asset manager.
• Strong financial modelling, Excel, communication, collaboration, and delivery skills; working knowledge of C++ is beneficial.

• Progress toward the CFA qualification.
• Working knowledge of C++.
