PE Co-Investments, Associate

Location: New York, New York, United States

Annual base salary: $140,000–$155,000 USD, plus potential discretionary bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Screen private equity opportunities and participate in due diligence, transaction execution, closing, and post-close investment monitoring.
• Analyze business models, industries, competitive landscapes, sponsor fit, valuations, operating models, and third-party diligence reports.
• Prepare investment memorandums, recommendations, client updates, and investor communications.
• Review and negotiate deal terms with legal counsel and coordinate operational due diligence workflows.
• Build financial models for program and fund cash flows, returns, co-investments, and sensitivity analyses.
• Support fundraising, client relationship management, special projects, and the development of junior analysts and interns.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Economics with outstanding academic credentials; an MBA is highly preferred.
• At least four years of professional experience in private equity, investment banking, or consulting/advisory.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication, critical thinking, quantitative, analytical, organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to manage several transactions or opportunities simultaneously under tight deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in deal teams, with a high degree of integrity and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work onsite in New York, United States.
