Associate in Structured Finance (Fintech)

Location: London, England, United Kingdom; hybrid work with a mix of remote and office work from Monday to Friday. Occasional attendance at the London office in Farringdon is required.

What you will do

• Support the origination, structuring, execution, and management of structured lending transactions across originators, sponsors, and asset classes.
• Build and maintain financial models for asset-backed and cash-flow lending, including returns analysis, sensitivities, covenant modelling, and stress testing.
• Prepare indicative terms, commercial proposals, credit papers, and materials for Executive Committee, Credit Committee, and Board review.
• Conduct borrower, sponsor, and originator due diligence and assess financial statements, collateral performance, repayment capacity, and default risk.
• Coordinate legal documentation, internal approvals, conditions precedent, funding, treasury requirements, and transaction completion.
• Monitor portfolio performance, covenant compliance, early warning indicators, annual reviews, and emerging risks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in structured finance, leveraged finance, real estate finance, project finance, or corporate banking within the UK market.
• Experience preparing credit papers for UK bank credit committees.
• Familiarity with PRA and FCA regulatory frameworks, capital considerations, RWAs, RAROC, ROE, and NIM.
• Strong financial modelling, credit analysis, asset-backed finance, secured lending, portfolio management, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with strong attention to detail, integrity, ownership, and governance awareness.
