Seal Repair/Maintenance Technician/Assembler (Rotating Equipment)

What you will do

• Disassemble, clean, inspect, repair, and assemble mechanical seals and rotating equipment.
• Document the wear and condition of critical components using inspection forms, photographs, and inspection equipment.
• Evaluate returned parts and materials, determine whether they are repairable, and identify required repair operations.
• Verify drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and repair parts before starting work.
• Perform basic shop operations using a drill press, tool post grinder, bead blast polisher, and lapping machine.
• Support parts structuring, repair cost evaluation, pricing, and work or purchase order initiation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or trade school preferred.
• At least two years of mechanical seal equipment experience or comparable experience in refining, petrochemical, chemical, power, or upstream markets.
• Ability to read, write, and understand simple instructions, correspondence, and technical diagrams.
• Ability to present information in one-to-one and small-group situations.
• Basic arithmetic skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to solve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
