Engineering Manager (Consumer Billing): Leading end-to-end delivery of complex consumer billing solutions from concept through production with an accent on delivery governance, cross-business coordination, financial control, and operational readiness. Focus on managing dependencies and risks, resolving defects and incidents, preparing production releases, and improving delivery through Agile methods and metrics.
Location: Onsite in Belfast, UK, working with a co-located team at Riverside Tower

What you will do
- Lead complex consumer billing solutions from concept through production, managing scope, milestones, dependencies, and critical-path activities.
- Coordinate product, engineering, operations, finance, service, and business stakeholders to align priorities and delivery decisions.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, cost tracking, business-case benefits, and commercial trade-offs.
- Own delivery risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies, governance, change control, and delivery assurance across workstreams and suppliers.
- Lead defect and incident management, including prioritisation, root-cause analysis, resolution planning, and stakeholder communication.
- Drive operational readiness for releases and improve delivery through Agile or hybrid methods, metrics, retrospectives, and lessons learned.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading complex business and technology deliveries from initiation through production.
- Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder-influence skills across product, engineering, operations, finance, and business functions.
- Expertise in budgets, RAID management, governance, service readiness, incident management, and delivery assurance.
- Ability to work side-by-side with a dedicated team based in Belfast.
Nice to have
- Experience with Agile, hybrid, and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
- Consumer billing or billing-platform experience.
- Large-scale transformation delivery or work in regulated industries such as telecoms, financial services, or utilities.
- Experience with service transition, operational readiness, and continuous delivery optimisation.
