RMA FA Engineer (ASIC)

What you will do

• Receive, inspect, and process returned ASIC products according to RMA procedures.
• Conduct failure analysis, technical troubleshooting, and diagnostic testing to identify product defects and root causes.
• Perform physical failure analysis, including decapsulation, cross-section analysis, FIB, OBIRCH and emission analysis, hotspot localization, and package-level investigation.
• Analyze failure patterns, determine ASIC versus non-ASIC failures and escape causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Document findings, observations, test results, and RMA activities in technical reports, databases, and tracking systems.
• Collaborate with quality assurance, engineering, manufacturing, management, stakeholders, and customers on findings and improvements.

Requirements

• Experience in failure analysis, RMA processing, or ASIC quality engineering.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, root cause analysis, analytical, and data interpretation skills.
• Knowledge of product quality standards, quality management systems, electronics, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with RMA management systems or similar software, technical documentation, Microsoft Office, and AI data analysis tools.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to determine root cause, escape cause, ASIC versus non-ASIC failure, and appropriate corrective actions.
