Vision Center Manager L3 (Optical)

Location: Centereach, New York, United States; onsite at the Walmart Vision Center

Hourly wage: $38.50–$50.00, plus potential performance-based bonuses and regional pay zone compensation.

What you will do

• Drive Vision Center sales through merchandise presentation, competitive pricing, inventory availability, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis of community needs.
• Lead customer service standards and resolve customer complaints and issues within company guidelines.
• Manage, hire, train, mentor, assign, recognize, and develop Vision Center associates.
• Ensure quality eyewear provision by consulting customers, selecting products, taking measurements, verifying prescriptions, repairing frames, and maintaining optical equipment.
• Oversee compliance, asset protection, safety, quality assurance, confidentiality, and implementation of company programs.
• Build stakeholder relationships, establish goals, measure results, and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Completion of two or more years of college, or qualifying combinations of retail, supervisory, general work, and optical experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws, regulations, and rules.
• Ability to supervise associates, deliver customer service, interpret reports, and execute operational and compliance procedures.
