Lead Product Engineer (Developer Platform)

Location: Europe, ideally within CET ±3 hours; fully remote with flexible hours.

What you will do

• Design developer-platform primitives including projects, environments, secrets, and logs across Magic Containers, Edge Scripting, and Database.
• Shape the product direction from discovery through delivery and iteration, translating developer insights into priorities.
• Build prototypes, APIs, dashboard features, instrumentation, documentation, and production code alongside engineers.
• Identify platform and product decisions that could undermine a unified developer experience before launch.
• Lead a small engineering team by setting direction, developing people, providing feedback, and maintaining a high quality bar.
• Work with Compute, Frontend, Design, and Product Marketing to create a cohesive dashboard, API, CLI, and documentation experience.

Requirements

• Experience owning or readiness to own the full discovery, delivery, and iteration loop at meaningful scale.
• Strong product judgment, technical depth, data literacy, and business and market understanding.
• Ability to ship production changes and make trade-offs involving quality, reliability, performance, security, and customer trust.
• Experience helping others make better decisions and take ownership, with clear communication and low ego.
• AI fluency across research, analysis, prototyping, coding, testing, and communication while remaining accountable for quality.
• Ability to work remotely from Europe, ideally within CET ±3 hours.

Nice to have

• Experience building developer platforms, deployment tools, or products where developer experience is the product.
• Experience deploying, configuring, and debugging workloads on similar platforms.
• Experience speaking with customers and leading engineers through people development and feedback.
