Cut Rite Optimization Specialist (Day Shift)

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada; onsite manufacturing environment

Salary: $27.56–$29.52 per hour

What you will do

• Optimize daily production schedules using the Cut Rite program.
• Support production control and product development teams with BOM information, manufacturing routes, and routing steps.
• Use engineering drawings to verify that parts meet product specifications.
• Populate and maintain routing data, reports, databases, and ERP records.
• Analyze ERP data and use JDE and Excel macros to upload routes, notes, and supplemental part data.
• Resolve production data issues, communicate safety and quality concerns, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Degree in engineering, computer science, supply chain, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of manufacturing experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Access, Excel, SQL, ERP systems, and SDLC software.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and apply manufacturing process knowledge.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, mathematics, prioritization, and independent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with manual dexterity, personal protective equipment, manufacturing noise, dust, and heat, including varied hours and overtime when required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Cut Rite software and creating new Access databases.
• Experience with wood optimization and nesting software.
• Familiarity with networking systems and woodworking equipment.
