Junior Applied AI Engineer (AI)

Location: Fully remote, based in the UK, with occasional travel to company events.

What you will do

• Contribute to defined build tasks and complete AI features to engineering standards.
• Support the design, build, and deployment of applied AI systems under senior engineer guidance.
• Apply established engineering patterns and develop fundamentals across the technology stack.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions to improve engineering quality.
• Build capability through active learning and internal knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Early-career experience in software engineering, machine learning, or AI-related development through industry, internships, or academic work.
• Foundations in programming, particularly Python or a related language.
• Curiosity, collaboration, eagerness to learn, and clear communication.
• Must be based remotely in the UK.

Nice to have

• Exposure to GenAI, LLMs, RAG, AWS, Databricks, or modern data and machine-learning tooling.
• Personal, academic, or open-source projects demonstrating interest in applied AI.
