Manufacturing Engineer I (MedTech)

Location: North Haven, Connecticut, United States. Onsite manufacturing role with occasional travel of up to 5% to suppliers or other manufacturing locations. Unrestricted U.S. work authorization is required at hire and throughout employment.

Salary: $69,600–$104,400 per year, plus eligibility for the hirify.global Incentive Plan.

What you will do

• Provide technical support to manufacturing and maintenance teams.
• Troubleshoot equipment, production processes, and line-performance issues.
• Support root-cause analysis for equipment failures, process deviations, and quality issues.
• Develop and maintain work instructions, process flows, equipment specifications, and change records.
• Support equipment and process qualification and validation, including FATs, SATs, and installation qualification protocols.
• Improve equipment reliability, process stability, cycle time, yield, scrap, throughput, and overall equipment effectiveness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, Biomedical, or a related engineering discipline.
• 0–2 years of engineering experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and process specifications.
• Experience or knowledge in manufacturing processes, equipment troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and machine safety.
• For degrees earned outside the United States, the degree must satisfy the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A).
• Unrestricted U.S. work authorization is required; sponsorship is not available for this role.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience through internships, co-ops, senior projects, laboratory work, or similar technical work.
• Exposure to process improvement, lean manufacturing, or production support.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or related design software.
