Senior Manufacturing Engineer (Orthopedics) (Manufacturing Engineering/MedTech): Developing and supporting manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, robotics, and production operations for orthopedic medical devices with an accent on process validation, quality compliance, and continuous improvement. Focus on leading complex engineering projects, solving process problems through root cause analysis, and implementing Lean and Six Sigma improvements across cross-functional teams.

Location: Hybrid role in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, United States

What you will do

  • Support robotics, process development, tooling, manufacturing flow, equipment, and day-to-day production engineering.
  • Lead complex, multi-site, and cross-functional engineering projects, including project plans, schedules, cost tracking, status reporting, and documentation.
  • Investigate nonconformances, complaints, audit observations, and corrective and preventive actions using root cause analysis and structured problem-solving.
  • Develop process validation strategies and execute engineering studies, validation protocols, IQ/OQ/PQ, software validation, and test method validation.
  • Implement process improvements using Lean and Six Sigma principles, including measurement system analysis and gage implementation.
  • Lead fixture, tool, and new equipment design and acquisition, including installation, validation, procedures, and employee training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of manufacturing and/or engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing principles, practices, procedures, process development, manufacturing flow, tooling, fixtures, equipment, and production engineering.
  • Ability to lead investigations, perform root cause analysis, solve complex process problems, and communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
  • Strong organizational, project management, troubleshooting, analytical, interpersonal, and computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Minitab, and Visio.

Nice to have

  • Master of Science degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in medical devices, healthcare, or another regulated industry.
  • Familiarity with FDA, GMP, and ISO requirements.
  • Six Sigma or Lean Sigma certification, especially Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean certification.
