Manufacturing Engineer I (Medical Devices)

Annual base salary: $72,000–$94,000

What you will do

• Solve manufacturing problems, perform root cause analysis, and implement validated process improvements.
• Support production and maintain product, process, equipment, and quality documentation.
• Design and implement fixtures, tooling, and equipment; perform equipment qualifications.
• Test processes, equipment, raw materials, and products; perform process validations and prepare protocols and reports.
• Develop, characterize, and optimize manufacturing processes using statistical techniques and engineering expertise.
• Coordinate engineering projects, suppliers, external resources, and cross-functional stakeholders; train assemblers, quality control staff, and technicians.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, Electrical, Chemical, Materials, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and other computer applications.
• Willingness and ability to work on site in Roseville, California.
• Ability to work in office, laboratory, and clean room environments, move between buildings and floors, and lift or move up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to remain stationary and use standard office equipment for extended periods and communicate accurately with employees at all levels.

Nice to have

• At least one year of relevant engineering experience.
• Manufacturing engineering experience, preferably in the medical device industry.
• Knowledge of FDA regulations, Lean/Flow Manufacturing, and materials and manufacturing processes.
