Sales Engineer (Physical Security)

Location: Remote-based in the Rome area, responsible for the Center-South Italy region; regional customer travel 2–3 times per week is required.

What you will do

• Design tailored security surveillance solutions that address customer needs and demonstrate Axis value.
• Advise system integrators, end customers, consultants, and technical decision-makers on solution strategy.
• Influence tenders, RFPs, and RFQs and help position Axis in major business opportunities.
• Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, pilots, proofs of concept, and customer training.
• Collaborate with Key Account Managers, sales teams, and global and local technology partners.
• Evaluate competitive solutions and develop end-to-end architectures covering networking, analytics, software, hardware, and services.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role within the physical security market.
• Experience in pre-sales and B2B project-based work.
• Strong knowledge of network technologies and confidence demonstrating complex network surveillance solutions.
• Degree in computer science or engineering preferred.
• Native Italian and professional English proficiency required.
• Strong analytical, business, organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.

• Experience with VMS software.
