Field Sales Engineer (Professional Audiovisual Solutions)

Location: Remote from Germany or a neighboring country; work from home with up to 75% travel, including frequent travel in Germany and occasional trips throughout Europe and to the headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon.

What you will do

• Lead technical and design support during technology evaluations for major projects and key clients.
• Manage technical communication with end users, consultants, AV and control integrators, and distributors through the pre-sales process.
• Prepare proposals, design drawings, quotations, technical documentation, and responses to RFIs and RFPs.
• Deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, training, and coaching for customers and installation teams.
• Act as a technical advisor and product advocate in partnership with sales, account management, business development, and technical support teams.
• Maintain the experience center, contribute to product manuals and knowledgebase content, and report technical customer feedback.

Requirements

• Comprehensive knowledge of professional audio, video, and control technologies.
• Experience programming and installing AV and control systems, including AV networking design.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Visio, CAD programs, and EASE Focus / Address.
• Experience working with distributors, system integrators, consultants, and end users in the professional audiovisual and control industry.
• Strong technical presentation, customer relationship-building, teamwork, and short-notice travel skills.
• Excellent written and verbal English and German skills are required. A relevant degree or professional qualification is desirable.

Nice to have

• CCNA, CCNP, CCDP, ENS, CompTIA, or another relevant IT qualification.
• Fluent written and spoken Dutch or French.
• International travel experience.
