Field Sales Engineer (AV)

Location: Brighton, UK; hybrid role with regular weekly attendance at the UK office, home working, and up to 75% travel across the UK and occasionally Europe and the United States. The position should ideally be based in the South of the United Kingdom within 90 minutes of the Brighton office.

What you will do

• Provide pre-sales technical and design support for professional audio, video, and control solutions.
• Lead technology evaluation during sales processes for major projects and key clients.
• Prepare proposals, design drawings, quotations, technical documentation, and responses to RFIs and RFPs.
• Build relationships with decision-makers, consultants, distributors, system integrators, and end users.
• Deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, and training for design and installation teams.
• Support sales managers, trade shows, the experience center, product manuals, knowledgebase content, and client feedback reporting.

Requirements

• Comprehensive technical knowledge of audio, video, and control systems.
• Experience programming and installing AV and control systems, including AV networking design.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Visio, CAD programs, and EASE Focus/Address.
• Experience working with distributors, system integrators, consultants, and end users in the professional audiovisual and control industry.
• Strong technical presentation, communication, teamwork, and customer relationship-building skills.
• Excellent written and verbal English skills are required. International travel experience and a relevant degree or professional qualification are desirable.

Nice to have

• CCNA, CCNP, CCDP, ENS, CompTIA, or another relevant IT qualification.
• Fluent spoken and written proficiency in another European language.
