Senior Software Engineer (React/Node.js)

Location: Poland; hybrid work from the assigned office at least 3 days per week, with a focus on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

What you will do

• Build high-quality, scalable, and responsive software for Notes and Canvas real-time content creation products.
• Develop frontend features primarily with React and backend services with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Design and implement APIs, distributed services, data models, and cloud-based deployments.
• Create technical documentation, reusable engineering patterns, and examples for other engineering teams.
• Use AI development tools such as Claude and Cursor for development, research, documentation, and bug triage while maintaining quality and security.
• Support legacy codebases, define engineering standards, collaborate cross-functionally, and participate in the on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong Node.js and TypeScript backend development skills.
• Experience designing APIs and distributed services, with knowledge of system design and data modeling.
• Expertise in HTML, CSS, and a modern frontend framework such as React, including state management, accessibility, performance, and security fundamentals.
• Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, software design principles, and object-oriented programming.
• Proficient English and ability to work from the assigned Poland office at least 3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform or Amazon Web Services.
• Experience with WebSockets and real-time applications.
• Experience contributing to cross-platform solutions.
