Quality Lead (Pharmaceutical)

Location: Cramlington, Northumberland, United Kingdom; onsite at the manufacturing site

What you will do

• Provide quality oversight for pharmaceutical packaging production supplying more than 70 global markets.
• Lead six direct reports, including QA Specialists and Qualified Persons.
• Maintain QMS documentation, production records, and compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements.
• Use root cause analysis and corrective actions to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.
• Partner with production and supply chain teams on quality improvement initiatives.
• Analyse quality metrics, participate in audits and inspections, and identify process enhancements.

Requirements

• Pharmaceutical industry experience with proven leadership and strategic thinking.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and building strong relationships across functions.
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems, GMP, and regulatory compliance.
• Degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, or another scientific or statistical discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organisation, attention to detail, and a proactive approach.
• Continuous improvement experience using relevant tools and methodologies.

• Qualified Person (QP) qualification.
