Global Installation Engineer-Semi-PDC (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Shanghai or Wuxi, China. On-site field service role with travel required 75% of the time and extensive work in customer clean rooms.

What you will do

• Install, maintain, and upgrade customer semiconductor manufacturing equipment alongside senior field service engineers.
• Use digital analytics and basic diagnostic techniques to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems.
• Coordinate directly with customers and support smooth equipment operation.
• Work safely in clean-room environments and follow required environmental, safety, and COVID-19 protocols.

Requirements

• Associate degree, military technical training, field service experience, or trade certification.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Experience diagnosing and resolving basic technical problems.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport if travel is required.

Nice to have

• 1–2 years of customer or field service support experience.
• Associate degree in electronics or engineering technologies.
• Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum systems, or thermodynamics.
• Familiarity with hand tools and digital multimeters.
