Accountant RtR/GL with VAT Expertise (m/f)

Location: Katowice, Poland; hybrid model with flexible working hours.

What you will do

• Prepare financial statements, periodic reports, general ledger postings, accruals, and fixed-asset registers.
• Reconcile general ledger balances with auxiliary journals and confirm balances and transactions within group companies.
• Independently prepare, review, and submit VAT returns and corrections while monitoring tax compliance.
• Participate in month-end closing, audit preparation, and compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
• Create and update process documentation and contribute to process improvement projects.
• Collaborate with departments, company units, trading partners, and European locations on knowledge-transfer initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Practical knowledge of VAT regulations and experience preparing, reviewing, and submitting VAT returns and corrections.
• Experience in finance; BPO or SSC experience is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Very good English skills.
• Diligence, reliability, organization, teamwork, and motivation to develop in an international company.
