Senior Consultant Energy - Pricing & Sourcing

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; work from home, the client site, or the Amsterdam office.

What you will do

• Advise energy suppliers and trading organizations on commercial challenges related to the energy transition.
• Work on energy sourcing, pricing, trading, and portfolio management projects.
• Improve the financial results of sales and sourcing departments and support business process efficiency.
• Define organizational improvements and select relevant IT systems and vendors.
• Contribute to investment decisions and solutions combining business analysis, project management, and stakeholder management.
• Support Energy team strategy, business development, recruitment, knowledge sharing, and training.

Requirements

• Master’s degree with strong analytical training.
• At least 4 years of consulting experience and relevant experience in the commercial energy sector.
• Practical knowledge of energy sourcing, pricing, trading, and portfolio management.
• Ability to analyze information, identify problems and trends, solve complex problems, and align stakeholders.
• Strong interest in data and AI-related topics, with the ability to quickly build expertise.
• English and Dutch communication and presentation skills are required; non-Dutch speakers will not be accepted.

Nice to have

• Experience consulting for an energy supplier or trading organization.
• French or German communication skills.
• Knowledge of grid owners, regulators, and other areas of the energy sector.
