Financial Controller (Dutch Finance)

Location: On-site in the Netherlands, with regular attendance at the Nijmegen office and the new Breda facility from approximately April 2027. Occasional domestic and international travel may be required.

hirify.global is expanding globally and integrating the Netherlands entity into its international finance organisation and global systems.

What you will do

• Own the day-to-day finance function for the Netherlands entity and collaborate with the wider international finance organisation.
• Lead month-end close activities, including journals, accruals, prepayments, reconciliations, management accounts, variance analysis, and cash flow reporting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, reforecasting, financial control, audit preparation, and management reporting.
• Oversee invoicing, accounts receivable, credit control, accounts payable, payroll, pension contributions, employee expenses, and finance administration.
• Support Dutch statutory reporting, corporate tax, VAT compliance, audits, and the development of finance policies and scalable processes.
• Support the transition to global finance systems through testing, process mapping, implementation, and reporting standardisation.

Requirements

• Relevant professional accounting qualification or equivalent progressively responsible finance experience.
• Broad hands-on finance experience in a growing or international business, including month-end close, reporting, reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and audit preparation.
• Strong knowledge of Dutch accounting, tax, regulatory requirements, and VAT, including transactions with vendors and customers inside and outside the Netherlands.
• Experience managing payroll, pension contributions, employee expenses, process improvements, and systems change.
• Legal right to work in the Netherlands is required; employer-sponsored work authorisation is not available.
• Excellent written and spoken English is required for communication and collaboration with international colleagues and stakeholders.

• Previous supervisory or people management experience.
• Experience implementing or migrating finance systems.
