What you will do
- Lead accounting preparation, review, and monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities for the Dutch entities.
- Prepare and review journal entries, payroll expenses, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analyses, and financial statements.
- Coordinate statutory and consolidated audits, including auditor requests, audit files, walkthroughs, and finalization.
- Own local tax compliance, regulatory reporting, cash management, cash-flow forecasting, and banking relationships.
- Strengthen financial controls, governance, and processes to support public-company requirements.
- Drive finance process improvements through systems, automation, and AI.
Requirements
- Registered Accountant (AA/RA), Registered Controller (RC), or a master’s degree in Accounting or Controlling.
- At least 8 years of relevant accounting and finance leadership experience, ideally in a US-parented multinational.
- Deep knowledge of Dutch local accounting requirements and US GAAP reporting.
- Experience managing statutory accounts, external auditors, full audit cycles, corporate tax compliance, and multi-entity consolidations.
- Strong understanding of multi-currency consolidations, cash-flow management, intercompany transactions, and foreign exchange.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with US-based colleagues across time zones.
