Senior Accountant - FinTech Projects

A travel technology platform operating products and financial flows between customers and partners.

What you will do

• Represent the Accounting function in the design, implementation, testing, and launch of strategic FinTech initiatives.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to define accounting, reporting, process, control, and compliance requirements.
• Prepare documentation covering processes, data, fund flows, and operational instructions.
• Collaborate with Data Analytics and Business Intelligence teams to build and test reporting solutions integrated with monthly closing.
• Oversee the month-end close for newly launched initiatives until transition to the operational close team.
• Resolve accounting challenges, support local compliance, and implement process improvements.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of accounting experience.
• Experience working with Product, Data Analytics, and Technical Accounting teams.
• Familiarity with US GAAP and strong knowledge of month-end close procedures.
• Strong proficiency with financial systems; SAP S/4HANA experience is preferred.
• Ability to understand technical designs, translate them into clear concepts, and align technical and business perspectives.
• Fluent spoken and written English required; the role is based in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

• Experience with projects and project management.
