Accounting Officer (Dutch Speaker)

Location: Hybrid in Leiden, Zuid-Holland, Netherlands

What you will do

• Process supplier invoices and employee expenses, including coding, approvals, VAT treatment, and supporting documentation.
• Prepare supplier payment runs, respond to vendor queries, reconcile supplier statements, and maintain supplier master data.
• Support bank transaction processing, reconciliations, AP reporting, and month-end close activities.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, VAT requirements, and finance procedures.
• Support audits, process improvements, and ad hoc finance projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Fluency in Dutch and a strong command of English are required.
• At least 3 years of experience in Accounts Payable or a related finance role.
• Strong understanding of AP processes, accounting principles, VAT processing, and reconciliations.
• Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
