Financial Controller (EV/Fintech)

What you will do

• Support reliable financial reporting under Dutch GAAP and IFRS and maintain effective internal controls.
• Prepare audit-ready documentation, support external audits and address control gaps.
• Partner with Commercial and Operations on pricing, unit economics and business performance analysis.
• Develop management reports, dashboards and insights for commercial and strategic decisions.
• Contribute to annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting and long-term financial modelling.
• Improve finance workflows using SQL, Looker/LookML, APIs, SuiteQL, automation and AI.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or another relevant quantitative field.
• Around 5+ years of experience in FP&A, financial control, external audit or financial advisory.
• Understanding of internal controls, risk assessment and financial governance.
• Strong Excel and/or Google Sheets skills, including financial modelling and complex formulas.
• Experience with an ERP environment such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle or a comparable platform.
• Professional-level English, written and spoken, and availability to work on-site in Amsterdam.

Nice to have

• Big Four or similar audit/advisory experience and knowledge of Dutch GAAP and IFRS.
• Experience with SQL, Looker, Power BI or Tableau.
• Hands-on experience with automation and AI tools for finance.
• CPA, CIA, ACCA or CFA qualification, or an MBA.
